Finally we can showcase our finest an award the talented people in the city with an award that the UK press is already dubbing the ‘Scouse Mercury’. A title that leads you to assume big things and you wouldn’t be wrong. Just take a look at the judging panel that was announced today.
Joshua Burke - Co-founder of Waxxx Magazine
Andy Capper - Global Editor of Vice Magazine
John Doran - Editor of Music Website, The Quietus
Peter Guy - Editor of the Getintothis blog
Steve Miller (Revo) - The man behind Evol promotions
Paul Rogers - Head of content at LFC and former music journalist.
Craig Pennington - Editor of Bido Lito! Magazine
Alexandra Topping - Journalist at the Guardian
Matt Wilkinson - Editor of NME

There has already been over 250 applicants for this award but that should not stop you entering! Get a load of the prize!
- Recording time at Liverpool studio Sandhills Studio.
- A showcase at this year’s Sound City and Liverpool Music Week.
- The winners will also play a gig at Vice Magazine’s London bar The Old Blue Last.
- As well as having a promo shot by Virgin Media Shorts filmmaker of the Year nominee Ian Gamester to be screened at FACT, the city’s art house cinema and creative technologies centre.
