w/ Deaf Club, Evelyn. Is & Stereo Virgins @ Shipping Forecast
A double blessing came from the Thurlow family. Sisters, Hannah and Colette, aka the 2:54 are play Shipping Forecast tomorrow eve (13.04) down to the local promoters you all know and love, Evol. Shoegazy vibes and XXish tones fill the ear drums with a real contradictory feeling of a laid backness and an on edge feel that takes you by the torso and consumes your miiiiind!!…
The girls have just signed to two labels who currently cater for the likes of those Crystal Castles and them Black Keys, ensuring their upcoming album a good footing on the success ladder. These guys are gonna be massive! Some guys called Wild Beasts have been banging on about ‘em for agesss so be a hipster for the night (or carry on being so) and see them before the radio knows them. It’ll make you cool.
Support comes from the perfectly complimenting Deaf Club with their haunting vocals and moody inner cave like, echoey, electric guitaral cries. They are the kind of musical crew you introduce your partner to just to make it look like you know your shit. Even if you’re single they are something to enjoy your much envied freedom to. Get on ‘em.
Because we is a local city we have a local offering on the line up. Evelyn. Is, fronted by Bittany Hayes, will be showing the big shots how we get down and atmospherical in Liverpool town. In similar fashion, Evelyn. Is brings us music that enters the ears and fills the soul with what they describe as ” an effortless blend of bittersweet nuance and sonic kicks”.
Finally on the list of names is another local manifestation in the form of the hard hitting Stereo Virgins. On the rockier side of the atmospheric fence, these guys bring the night an extra edge with guitar solos that screech through the back of your neck and grate through your chest.
