The Staves. Dead Cities & more. @ Kazimier Liverpool (18.04.12)
Evol and Mellowtone team up to bring you and the Kazimier a three piece folk band by the name of The Staves…
Made up of Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor the girls have been throwing out their incredible harmonies since they were kids! Vocally there is a little resemblence to Eliza Doolittle with three mouths at times. To some people that might sound like hell but it is mesmerizing. The girls were brought up on the likes of Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles and Stills & Nash. B-E-A-utiful… New tracks are up on Spotify now!!
Providing main support are Liverpool faves Dead Cities, another 3 piece folk band. This time made up by the likes of Martin Stilwell, Oli Hughes, Ryan Wyatt. There’s more of an indie twist to Dead Cities music than that of The Staves. It’s the kind of music that wouldn’t be out of place on the Burberry Acoustic Ep…
Also on the bill is 17 year old Pip Mountjoy who is currently on the BBC introducing programme. She’s down from Richmond and the Beaten Tracks DJs from the top of Bold Street, Richie Vegas & Jonnie O’Hare will be down there too!
In true Mellowtone nature this night will be a strong, up on our feet folk night. Tickets £8. Doors open at 8pm. Find full details on the poster and event page below.
