club LAZY GENIUS at MOJO returns! 

Yep, that was it. That was summer. Blink and you missed it? Bit shit wasn’t it… well no, it wasn’t all bad. The sun came out for another incredible Africa Oye festival back in June, the Kazimier Krunk Fiesta was a ball and of course England demolished India in the Test Series. 

But now the nights are drawing in, the gigging season kicks into action again, and with that comes the re-launch of our weekly shindig ‘club LAZY GENIUS at MOJO.’ Entering its second full year as Liverpool’s premier live music indie club night we are upping our game even more this year. 

Having been a stalwart of promoting the best local live acts, giving new young bands a platform to kick start their live careers and bringing up and coming bands from across the country into the city, you can expect more of the same this year! We pride ourselves on being a club night and live promoter who genuinely cares about the bands we put on, and look to provide them with a receptive audience, professional surroundings and of course the infamous and plentiful MOJO beer rider! 

However, this year, things are getting even better. As well as a host of top headliners from the top of the hottest new bands of the year lists, we are offering a win win deal for local bands on the bill. Remaining FREE ENTRY before 9pm, the night will then become £2 on the door after, but every local band on the bill will be offered an unlimited free guestlist. Not only that, they will receive £1 per person they bring on that list, with no number. So it’s a chance for a band to make a few quid, but without their fans having to pay to see them. Win win, don’t you think? 

Now to what we have in store for you until Christmas… here is a run down of some highlights. On the 26th of September we have our Fresher’s Night special with support from local Lazy Genius favourites Being Jo Francis, The Skinny Boys and Hot Light Fiesta.

Also coming up the wonderful Troumaca on the 10th of October, Nottingham shoegazers Spotlight Kid on the 17th and DZ Deathrays join us on the 24th of October in the midst of NME Radar tour. Check out Spotlight Kid’s latest video…
